| The importance of
worship in Islam can never be over emphasized. In fact, Allah created humans for the sole
reason of worshiping him. In Islam, worshiping Allah can be conducted in many forms.
To worship Allah through the obligatory 5 daily prayers is one form. In
addition to that, there are also nawafil (extra "credit" type prayers)
that we can do to increase our bond with Allah. To
increase our bond still further, Muslims can make dua'a or supplication to Allah which is
very important in Islam. By supplicating, we are admiting that Allah is our creator and
our benefactor. We are submitting our souls, lives, and bodies to Him to do with as He
wishes. Hence, I thought it would be beneficial to create a database of
Supplications for a Muslim. Inshallah as time passes, the list will get longer and
longer and more complete. We should inshallah memorize as many of these
supplications as possible, as well as apply them and reiterate them in our own lives.
